Gophee is an online cultural travel platform designed to reconnect people with real human stories and local heritage.
In a time where AI and automation increasingly dominate attention and interaction, Gophee's mission is to create meaningful cultural connections through real-life participation. The platform enables individuals to explore cities and communities not just through places, but through people. Gophee believes travel can become a powerful tool for empathy, preservation, and social understanding when guided by authentic voices and shared experiences.
Founded as a purpose-driven startup, Gophee was born out of a desire to make culture personal again. The founding team comes from backgrounds in aviation, strategy, and creative technology. Gophee was created not as a marketplace, but as a movement. Like many early-stage ventures, it has faced limited resources, fragmented supply chains, and the challenge of building trust in new regions. Still, its vision remains clear: to become a platform that amplifies local culture, supports small creators, and reshapes the way people travel and connect.
Gophee's core offering is the NPC Experience™, an immersive activity co-created with local hosts and built around a real story. NPC stands for the Next Person to Connect. These experiences include 3 guided missions that promote cultural participation through observation, hands-on interaction, and reflection. The platform currently offers three key experience types: Immersive NPC Experience™, Profession NPC Experience™ and Adventure NPC Experience™. Gophee also operates the NPC Market™, an online space where users can support local hosts by purchasing handmade or culturally significant products.
Unlike other platforms, Gophee is people-first and culture-focused. Rather than scale through volume or entertainment value, Gophee prioritizes depth, dignity, and storytelling. Every experience is co-designed with the host to protect cultural context and economic fairness. The result is a new kind of travel model—one that centers on real lives, not tourist checklists, and one that turns participation into preservation.
